Business Description
Acme Manufacturing Company is a fully integrated designer and manufacturer of machine tools specializing in metal surface finishing machinery and systems. For four generations of Carlson family ownership and over ninety years of dedicated service worldwide, the Company has maintained a singular focus: to develop cost effective solutions for its customers' complex finishing needs.

Through its understanding of the demand for capital equipment overseas, Acme initiated a formal program in 1986 (the Company has been exporting machinery since 1954), furthering its reputation as a world leader in metal surface finishing. In 1991, Acme received recognition for the program's success by being awarded the Presidential "E", an award presented by the United States Commerce Department to a select number of companies (Acme was one of only two Michigan based companies to receive the award) for excellence in advancing the United States' Export Expansion Program.

Acme machinery has diverse applications as demonstrated by the industries it serves: appliances, aerospace, automotive and trucking, basic steel, builders hardware, cookware, hand tool, medical implants, motor cycle accessories, plumbing hardware, and others. The Company seeks to constantly enhance its existing products, processes, and capabilities, as well as acquire new technologies that it feels addresses the demands of today's dynamic manufacturing environment.
